Kalshi settles US contracts on the NWS daily climatological report, compiled from the full one-minute record. Polymarket settles on the station observation table. The first can print a high the hourly reports never showed.
US contracts settle in Fahrenheit on two-degree buckets with odd-numbered boundaries. Everywhere else is one degree Celsius. We publish the running high already rounded into the bucket that contract uses.
Every station reaches the public feed at its own pace. Warsaw lands in about two minutes. Buckley — the station Polymarket settles Denver on — has a ninety-percent-case of forty minutes. We measure it per station, continuously.

Traders who need the station a contract actually settles on, not the city’s weather. Coverage follows Kalshi and Polymarket temperature markets. WeatherTick is an independent data tool; it does not execute trades and it is not a settlement source.
Observations come from the public NOAA METAR feed; hourly forecasts for United States stations come from the National Weather Service. We also record the resolution source each venue names — Kalshi settles US contracts on the NWS daily climatological report, Polymarket on the NOAA observation table for the station. Neither our running figures nor a grid forecast is the contract’s final settlement value.
