1. Who provides the service
WeatherTick (weathertick.com) is operated by LI ZHUO, an individual developer based in China. Contact: support@weathertick.com. These terms apply to the website, terminal and API. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into this agreement.
2. The product and its limits
WeatherTick brings together weather observations, forecasts and public market information for research, including research by Polymarket and Kalshi users. Membership provides access to the terminal and an API with plan-specific limits. Current API coverage includes eight US stations, latest observations and hourly forecasts. Historical backtests, high-frequency settlement feeds and guaranteed settlement values are not included.
Sample data is labeled. Live sources may be delayed, revised, unavailable or incomplete. Check source timestamps and each exchange’s official contract and settlement rules. WeatherTick is independent of the exchanges and weather agencies; it does not hold trading funds, execute trades, give personalized investment advice or guarantee returns.
3. Accounts and permitted use
Sign in with Google and keep your account and API keys secure. You may use the service for your own research, scripts, models and internal dashboards within your plan limits. Do not share or resell API keys, bypass quotas or authentication, disrupt the service, use it unlawfully, or redistribute third-party data in breach of the source’s terms. Contact us before redistributing a feed to other customers.
4. Plans, prices and API credits
Explorer is free: 1,000 API credits per month, 10 requests per minute and 2 active keys. Trader costs USD 39 per month: 50,000 credits, 60 requests per minute and 5 keys. Data Desk costs USD 149 per month: 250,000 credits, 300 requests per minute and 10 keys. Public paid checkout is not yet open; you can use Explorer now. A restricted USD 1 test checkout is a sandbox and does not charge real money.
All keys on an account share its quotas. Credits reset at the start of each UTC calendar month, independently of your subscription renewal date; unused credits do not roll over or have cash value. A successful station, observation or forecast request uses one credit. The usage endpoint is unmetered. Invalid requests and provider failures do not consume monthly credits, but attempts count toward request-rate limits. Limits and reset times appear in your account.
5. Payment, renewal and cancellation
When paid checkout is available, Creem processes purchases as merchant of record. Your checkout and receipt state the billing currency, tax, total and billing interval. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically at the disclosed price until canceled before the next charge. We do not store your full card details. Paid access starts after payment confirmation.
Use the membership panel’s Manage subscription link to cancel renewal. If the link is unavailable, contact support before renewal for assistance. Cancellation of renewal retains access until the end of the paid period and does not itself refund that period. Failed renewals do not extend paid access; after the paid period ends, the account returns to Explorer. Refunds follow the Refunds & cancellation policy and applicable consumer law. Plan changes are handled by support while self-service switching is unavailable.
6. Availability and responsibility
We work to provide a useful, functioning service but do not promise uninterrupted availability or perfect data accuracy. You are responsible for your own research and trading decisions. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for trading losses or indirect losses caused by reliance on data. This does not exclude liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer rights.
We may restrict an account or key where necessary to address abuse, a security incident or a legal requirement, and will explain the reason where lawful and practicable. If we cannot provide a paid service, the refund policy applies.
7. Updates and contact
We will publish updated terms here with their effective date. Material changes to existing paid access or prices will be communicated before they take effect, allowing you to cancel renewal. Changes will not remove accrued or mandatory rights. If you have a complaint or an account issue, contact us so we can investigate.
